Frequently asked questions
The tool optimizes images and removes unnecessary data to reduce file size while keeping the document readable.
Compression works best on PDFs with images. Text-only files may not shrink much.
Choose Maximum compression, then check that the file is still readable. If it is a scan and still too large, rescan at 150 dpi or remove extra pages.
High quality (light compression) and Balanced usually keep text sharp. Maximum compression may soften images, so review the file before you send it.
